結節硬化症是一種因為遺傳或基因自發突變而造成神經組織細胞形成不良、多種器官系統異常的罕見疾病。每一萬五千個人當中會有一人罹患結節，任何年紀都有可能發病，與種族或性別無關。
由於人體的神經組織偏佈全身，罹患結節性硬化症的患者易在身體的各種不同器官形成缺陷瘤，外表上在臉部和身體皮膚也會出現血管纖維瘤或額頭斑塊、特異性皮脂瘤、脫色斑和鯊魚斑。

結節病友們的辛苦，一般人是很難體會的。

為了喚起大家的關注、讓大家認識結節硬化症，515世界結節關懷日這天，台北101與附近信義商圈大樓將在晚間6點30分進行點燈活動，亮起藍燈，亮起希望，點燃關懷罕見疾病的愛心。

另外，在臉書活動上，也希望大家一人一鍵參加留言支持，或po上與支持標語的合照，或分享活動中的文章，一起支持結節硬化症病友!

Light It Up Blue for TSC!

May 15 is TSC Global Awareness Day. Taiwan is proud to partner in the fight against tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) by lighting up blue for TSC worldwide at Taipei 101, 18:30, GMT +8.

Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a genetic disorder that causes non-malignant tumors to form in many different organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. The aspects of TSC that most strongly impact quality of life are generally associated with the brain: seizures, developmental delay, intellectual disability and autism.

More than 1 million people worldwide have Tuberous Sclerosis Comples. You can help demonstrate this by participating this year’s event, simply selecting 'going' for supporting TSC. Comment ‘I support people with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex’ or join the online photo-sharing awareness campaign to help increase awareness of TSC!
