孟德爾頌與其他的音樂家相比是無比幸運的，因為他出生在一個富有而富教養的家庭，無須憂慮生活家計，因此他音樂中掩蓋不住的華麗與優雅風格。雖然一生只活了短短的三十八歲，但家庭教育的薰陶，使他從小便在音樂上展現過人的表現。十六歲時，創作了弦樂八重奏，以四把小提琴、兩把中提琴、兩把大提琴這樣少有的編制，加上濃密的和聲與對位，聲響上就猶如絃樂團般的豐足。

而他人生晚期創作的「E小調小提琴協奏曲」與布拉姆斯、貝多芬小提琴協奏曲並稱為三大小提琴協奏曲。曲風就如同孟德爾頌的名字”Felix”(快樂、幸福之意)，小提琴獨奏一開始就不俗的娓娓道出柔情浪漫的主題，在幸福、纏綿的激動旋律中透著一絲絲淡淡的憂愁，或許這是家世良好的孟德爾頌要訴說幸福的真義。

Mendelssohn was exceptionally more fortunate than most other musicians. He was born into a wealthy family and never had to worry about making a living. His music is therefore brimming with elegance and sophistication. Although he only lived for 38 years on this earth, because of the education he received and his upbringing with his family, Mendelssohn showed from an early age that he was musically gifted. At the age of 16, he wrote his first string octet for four violins, two violas and two cellos — a rare orchestration indeed; moreover, the octet's dense harmonies and counterpoint acoustically give it the full sound of an entire orchestra.

The Violin Concerto in E Minor that Mendelssohn wrote in his later years is, alongside the violin concertos of Brahms and Beethoven, considered to be one of the three great violin concertos within the entire violin repertoire. Mendelssohn's violin concerto is stylistically just like his name "Felix," which means happy and joyful. It starts right away with tender and romantic themes, but eventually gets more intense with an impending sense of gloom. Perhaps this is the true meaning of happiness that Mendelssohn, coming from a privileged background, really wanted express through his music.

曾師從小提琴奇才明茲（Shlomo Mintz）、已故小提琴大師艾塞克史坦（Isaac Stern），以及小提琴大師赫斯（Philippe Hirschhorn）的大衛‧ 格里摩，以純淨的音樂風格深受全球樂迷讚賞。曾與管弦樂團合作，包括巴黎管弦樂團、法國國家廣播愛樂交響樂團、薩爾茲堡莫札特學院樂團、柏林交響樂團等。在個人專輯「反射（Reflections）」裡，收錄了德布西、拉威爾以及巴爾托克的獨奏小提琴奏鳴曲，博得樂壇一致讚賞。除了獨奏外格里摩還是備受古典樂壇重視的合奏團體「不和諧」(Les Dissonnances) 的創辨人之一外，也是奧菲歐四重奏「Orfeo Quartet」的一員。格里摩1996 年獲得歐洲文化獎，2008 年獲頒藝術文化騎士勳章，是近年備受國際樂壇注目的小提琴新銳。

David Grimal took up the violin at the age of five. Following his studies with Régis Pasquier at the Paris Conservatoire, he enriched his musicality by studying with prestigious artists such as Schlomo Mintz and Isaac Stern. He spent a year studying at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (“Sciences Po”), then his meeting with the violinist Philippe Hirschorn proved decisive: the latter was to become his mentor. David Grimal teaches violin at the Musikhochschule Saarbrücken in Germany. He was made a Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture in 2008. He plays the “ex-Roederer” Stradivarius (1710), and also the “Don Quichotte”, a violin made for him by French instrument maker Jacques Fustier.

中提琴：何君恆 Chen-Hung Ho, Viola

1989 年獲得法國U. F. A. M. 中提琴比賽首獎，1990 年參加北德音樂節，與世界各國青年好手所組成的管弦樂團在蕭提、畢奇可夫及羅斯托波維奇的指揮下巡迴德東、德西、米蘭及西西里島等地演出。1991 年代表學校至北非摩洛哥演出室內樂，1992 年獲得全額獎學金至維雷克羅茲，由瑞士日內瓦四重奏大賽首獎Ysaye 弦樂四重奏指導室內樂並參加瓦爾嘎音樂節，接受日內瓦及慕尼黑中提琴大賽得主今井信子大師的指導並在結業當天獲選演出。1993 年進入國立巴黎高等音樂學院半職業樂團。自1994 年加入法國著名的現代音樂樂團2E2M 後，就經常在歐洲各地的國際現代音樂節中演出，如葡萄牙、賽浦路斯、羅馬尼亞及巴黎國家廣播電臺的國際現代音樂節。

Violist Chen-Hung Ho graduated from, École Normale de Musique de Paris and Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris, with diplomas in chamber music and viola performance. In 1989, Ho won the first prize in the U.F.A.M. viola competition in France. In 1990, he joined the Northern Germany Music Festival and participated in the orchestra comprised of young talents from all over the world. Lead by conductors Solti and Rostropovich, the orchestra toured throughout Germany, Milan and Sicily. In 1991, Ho represented the school to perform in Morocco, and in 1992 he won a full scholarship to attend Villecroze and received coaching from the YSAYE String Quartet. During this time, he also attended Tibor Varga Festival and received coaching from Nobuko Imai, and was selected to perform in the festival recital. In 1994, after joining a contemporary orchestra 2E2M in France, Ho toured extensively in Europe and appeared at numerous international contemporary music festivals in Portugal, Cyprus, Romania and Paris National Radio.

臺北市立交響樂團第十屆明日之星甄選

為培育臺灣傑出青少年音樂人才，臺北市立交響樂團持續辦理「明日之星」，透過甄選之形式，遴選出臺灣優秀青少年音樂家，並提供其展現才華之機會，以拓展其音樂演奏生涯，邁向國際舞臺。

甄選樂器：
木管：長笛、雙簧管、單簧管、低音管。
銅管：法國號、小號、長號、低音號。
打擊：馬林巴木琴。  

報名資格：
1. 具中華民國國籍。
2. 1991年1月1日出生起至1997年12月31日止（民國80年1月1日至民國86年12
　月31日之期間內出生者）。
3. 精通演奏長笛、雙簧管、單簧管、低音管、法國號、小號、長號、低音號、
　馬林巴木琴。

臺北市立交響樂團第八屆青少年音樂營

臺北市立交響樂團為培養青少年演奏能力及樂團合作默契，特於暑假期間舉辦音樂夏令營，透過集訓方式，使青少年們在個別技藝及與樂團合作上，累積經驗與實力，朝音樂專業生涯發展，成為日後樂團明日之星。

參加資格：
弦樂組：各公私立國中（含國小應屆畢業生，檢附學生證影本）、高中至今年度大學應屆畢業生（檢附學生證影本）。
管樂組：高中至今年度大學應屆畢業生（檢附學生證影本）。
請務必於甄選當日攜帶學生證或畢業證書等證明文件應考。

甄選樂器項目：
依管弦樂團樂器編制而定，擇優錄取。
弦樂：小提琴、中提琴、大提琴、低音提琴。
管樂：長笛、雙簧管、單簧管、低音管、法國號、小號、長號、低音號、
擊樂：打擊。（應考樂器別限小鼓及定音鼓）

集訓日期：103年7月26日（六）至8月3日（日）。
