皇帝史蹟 The Emperor

 被Classical Source雜誌譽為『當前四十歲以下俄國鋼琴家的先峰』，2010年布魯賽爾伊莉莎白女皇大賽首獎得主-丹尼斯‧庫茲克辛，將與英國桂冠指揮克里斯多夫‧席曼帶來貝多芬《皇帝》鋼琴協奏曲，展現音樂帝王風範。

十九世紀初的歐洲是甚麼樣的景象？熟知歷史的人都知道，十九世紀初的歐洲，以皇帝自居的拿破崙是個佔有歷史版面的一個人物，1809 年，貝多芬創作《皇帝》鋼琴協奏曲時身處的維也納捲入戰亂中，企圖霸佔歐洲的拿破崙步步向奧地利逼近，最後不敵，終被法軍攻佔。
而馬丁路德的宗教改革發生在十六世紀，這一項改革對於德國甚至整個歐洲有著無比重大的意義，沒有它，或許我們就沒有「音樂之父」巴赫。與巴赫同屬新基督教派的孟德爾頌在宗教改革三百周年時創作了第五號交響曲來紀念這劃時代的事件。
到了十九世紀末的英國，走過輝煌強盛的年代，頂著「日不落帝國」的冠冕，倫敦已然是一個紙醉金迷、五光十色的繁華大都市。英國作曲家艾爾加以幽默的別稱，用音樂來描寫出屬於那個時代的安樂鄉--- 倫敦。

What sort of place was Europe in the early 19th century? People familiar with history know that Europe in the early 19th century was dominated by the historical figure of Napoleon, who had claimed himself emperor. When Beethoven began writing Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major in 1809, popularly called the Emperor Concerto, he was living in war-torn Vienna. Beethoven became quite disappointed with Napoleon, who had turned towards imperialism and wanted to dominate all of Europe. Napoleon's army eventually occupied the Austrian Empire.
The seminal figure of the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century — Martin Luther — had an incomparable influence on Germany and all of Europe. Without him, perhaps we would not have J.S. Bach, who was also a protestant, like Mendelsshon after him, who on the 300th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation wrote his Fifth Symphony to commemorate this historic event.
Toward the end of the 19th century, the British Empire had reached the height of its glory as the foremost global power, during which the phrase "the empire on which the sun never sets" was often heard. The center of this vast empire — London — had become a bustling metropolis of extravagance and dissipation. British composer Edward Elgar's humorously titled one of his most famous concerto overtures — Cockaigne Overture — to celebrate Londoners, or Cockneys, using music to depict this marvelous city during the early 20th century.

在贏得2010 年布魯塞爾伊莉莎白女皇大賽首獎後，二十三歲的丹尼斯‧庫茲克辛登上國際舞台。很快地名聲遠播，出現於無數音樂節與國際音樂殿堂之巔，包括曾於2003年威爾比葉藝術節贏得榮譽獎項。
2013/14 年檔期，庫茲克辛與阿爾索普指揮之法蘭克福廣播交響樂團、泰米卡諾夫指揮之愛樂樂團、赫魯薩指揮之奧斯羅愛樂合作。在2014 年2月，庫茲克辛與泰米可諾夫指揮之聖彼得堡愛樂，在卡內基廳等美國重要舞台巡迴演出。

Denis Kozhukhin was launched onto the international scene after winning First Prize in the 2010 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels at the age of 23. He has quickly established a formidable reputation and has already appeared at many of the world’s most prestigious festivals and concert halls including the Verbier Festival, where he won the Prix d’Honneur in 2003.
In the 13/14 season, Kozhukhin performs with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony with Alsop, Philharmonia with Temirkanov, Oslo Philharmonic with Hrůša. In February 2014, Kozhukhin will also be Temirkanov’s soloist on his major US tour with the St Petersburg Philharmonic which will include performances at the Carnegie Hall.

指揮家克里斯多夫‧席曼的名聲，建立於啟發性音樂的創造。2011年辭去羅徹斯特愛樂（紐約）音樂總監職位，隨後被封為＂指揮大師＂。2009年五月，羅徹斯特大學頒給席曼音樂榮譽博士學位，讚賞他引領出不凡音樂的指揮能力、傑出的錄音藝術、教學天才，以及他對社群表演藝術的支持。
2013/14年度表演檔期將包括於納西維耳交響樂團、杭州愛樂樂團的首次合作演出，與重返澳洲、亞洲、英國、美國舞台。歐陸的邀約包括布拉格電台樂團與捷克交響樂團、古爾本齊恩管弦樂團，布拉班特管弦樂團，與華沙愛樂管弦樂團。

British conductor Christopher Seaman has a reputation for inspirational music making. Having relinquished his post as Music Director to the Rochester Philharmonic (New York) in 2011, he was subsequently bestowed the title of Conductor Laureate. In May 2009, the University of Rochester made Christopher an Honorary Doctor of Music, acknowledging his outstanding leadership in music as a renowned conductor, accomplished recording artist, gifted teacher and community performing arts partner. Highlights of the 2013/14 season and beyond include his debuts with Nashville Symphony Orchestra and Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, and returns Australia, Asia, UK and US. In Europe, invitations have included the Prague Radio and Czech Symphony Orchestra, the Gulbenkian Orchestra and the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra.
